All Together: A Novel Approach to Understanding the Interpersonal Dynamics of Teamwork in Sport
How well does your team work together? And how could you improve their teamwork as a coach? We are currently recruiting sport teams from the Lower Mainland region to participate in a study where we’ll ask players (16 years or older) to complete a survey on two occasions. As part of the study, we will provide coaches with feedback on how the team scored on five aspects of teamwork along with evidence-based strategies that could be used to improve teamwork. Please contact Stef if you want to learn more.

Athletes’ Experiences of Felt Trust in the Coach-Athlete Relationship
We are recruiting athletes from competitive sports teams to participate in a study about their experiences with their coach. The study comprises two interviews (approximately 90min each) which can take place in person at UBC or online via Zoom. Eligible participants include those aged 16+ who compete at a highly trained/competitive level, have worked with their current coach for at least one month, and have competed in multiple competitions/games with that coach. Participants receive $25 for each interview. If you are interested in participating or want to learn more, please contact Stef.

Improving Canadian Student-Athlete Mental Health: A Concept Mapping Study
Led by Dr. Catherine Sabiston at the University of Toronto in partnership with Polygon, we are currently recruiting for a national study on student-athlete mental health. Participation involves a short online survey where you share your ideas on what is most needed to support student-athlete mental health. We are looking for insights from athletes, students, clinicians, campus sport leaders (i.e., coaches, support staff) and administrators (e.g., athletic directors), sport psychology professionals, researchers, and any other positions with direct investment and interest in student-athlete mental health. Your input will help identify priority areas to improve support systems, services, and policies for student-athletes across Canada, which will help shape future mental health initiatives for this population.
